Broken Lights

How to fix broken lights

Broken lights on your vehicles are caused by two vehicles sharing the same carcol ID. A carcol ID is a unique number assigned to a model's light coronas, which emit the colors that appear. Sometimes, by pure happenstance, two vehicles have the same carcol ID, which causes one vehicle to use the same light coronas as another vehicle, and that causes them to appear "broken". Fixing this is a relatively simple process, and we've even made a tool to automatically do it for you:

Automatically Fix

If you would like to automatically fix your carcols, you can head over to our FiveM Carcol Fixer. Upload a carcols.meta and carvariations.meta and our system will automatically regenerate new IDs for your vehicles.

Manually Fix

  1. Find your vehicle's carcols.meta and carvariations.meta.
  2. In your carcols.meta, look for a line similar to this: <id value="{SOME NUMBER}"/>
  3. Replace the {SOME NUMBER} with a randomly generated number. You can create one at https://hamblin.app/number-generator.
  4. Go to your carvariations.meta and look for the number that you just replaced. It should be on a line similar to this: <sirenSettings value="{SOME NUMBER}"/>
  5. Replace {SOME NUMBER} with the number generated in step #3.
  6. Save the files.
  7. Restart or start your server.
